What is Impact Investing All About?

It is a great pleasure to give a talk introducing the topic of Impact Investing to LSE Alumni in Geneva Switzerland on October 17th 2018.

Investments aiming to generate a positive social and / or environmental impact as well as some financial return have become known as impact investments over recent years and have gained substantial momentum in both the finance and social entrepreneurship community.

However given the popularity of the term one can observe a rather inflationary use of the wording on the rise. In this context it is pivotal to gain terminological and conceptual clarity on what we mean with impact investing and this talk aims to deliver such clarity.
