The Humanistic Management Center gladly followed the invitation by Tomasz Kwarcinski of the university's Department of Philosophy to give a talk at the Krakow University of Economics. The topic of this guest lecture was A Why, How and What of Humanistic Management and it took place in a student and faculty seminar on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on June 26th 2015. Following the presentation a lively discussion emerged with participating faculty as well as highly engaged students. The challenges that were discussed circled around reaching a higher level of concretization of the conceptual underpinnings of a humanistic management paradigm as well its mainstreaming to enhance the impact in business organizations. Most encouraging was the positive reaction of the student participants who clearly expressed their desire to not only have a successful business career but to do so with meaningful work in purpose driven organizations.
